Re: 200% SB90 on a Creality Ender 3
I was able to get a water test done today. She needs bigger ESCs. I had 90a ones in there and one decided to pop on me. Looking to go up to 150a.

Tested the power setup with a Watt meter today. She pulled 100a on 4S with the included impellers. I’m going to be playing with the pitch and blade quantity until I can clean up efficiency and get the amps to hold steady at 80a with 100% throttle. Attached is my first attempt with a 4 blade and rounded leading edges similar to a Solas or Impros Yamaha jet ski impeller.

I made some updated ones for Matsas big print, here they are attached. In the picture you have the original to the left and the new 3-bladed on the right. Both of the attached ones has improved blade shape and I would suggest you test the three-bladed one. The trailing edge will need a bit of sanding as it's designed to stick with a little bit more surface to the print bed while printing.
They are still in the original size so you need to scale them up.

Thank you for sharing those. Would it be possible to get them as a .step file. I have to modify them so the drove dog I have works.admin wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2019 9:46 amnew_impeller.PNG
Hi! Thanks for sharing your pictures of the test run! I know the impellers are not the best in efficiency as they are drawn to be printable in the original size so I could not make the blades too thin.

This model is amazing and thanks again for sharing it with all of us.

The impeller to the left is the original and the one to the right is a lesser pitch and thinner blades I designed. It still needs to be cleaned up but I am curious on the amp draw with the new impeller.

Alright everyone since these pumps weren’t intended to be this scale I made some changes. I made the stator/veins and wear ring two pieces than can be disassembled. I added 3 additional veins to help reduce the spin on the water as it exits the nozzle. I’ve also made the nozzle smaller.

Tested the new pumps today. Gained almost 8mph or more at 30a less.
