Roberto’s Build

Postby construtor » Wed May 20, 2020 8:42 pm

Hello everyone! Here is how my build has been going...

Like all of you, even with plenty of projects on the bench, this one had to be added to the list!!! Awesome design work by Olle, and much appreciated that here shared it with us!!

Thank you Olle!!

So far everything fits so nicely! It makes for a fun build for sure.

To stop adding projects to the list is probably the hardest thing there is. :) At least I try to revisit the un-finished projects now and then so they might somewhere down the line actually get finished. :D

Btw, looks like you get really awesome surface quality on your prints! What type of printer is that and what have you done to it? (if any mods).

Ahhh to revisit old/on going projects... that would be nice...

I am in fact getting awesome results with my printer! I have two other friends that I have taken them on the same path and they too are enjoying successful prints.

It was originally an Anet A8. I have replaced the acrylic frame for the alu profile, replaced the extruder for an E3D Titan Aero and replaced the board with an MKs 1.4 with TMC2130s drivers. I also replaced the guide rods and LM8UU bearings for some a bit better (not top of the line).

And finally, I have been using Simplify 3D since day one so I am pretty familiar on how to use it. About 3 years now...

I would like a new printer just because, but I cannot justify and it makes no sense to get rid of this one...
